Where We Live Now

                       

From the past 2 years we are living in Singapore,the lion's city(singa in sanskrit means "lion "and pura means " city").So far as now, this country has been good to us in all respects.This is the place which gave me a greater outlook towards life in all aspects.I learned many lessons of survival,far away from my loved ones.Life over here encouraged me to start writing and thus this blog aswell.

This is a place i recommend each and everyone of you for a visit/vacation.Following are the reasons:

1)From my experience i feel it is one of the best secure places in the world,whether it be for women or kids or old aged people.Without fear you can visit and see any places at any time,single or as a couple .People here follow very strictly the rules and regulations of this country.

2)It is a clean city which keep up with the international standards of infrastructure and development.Public places are soo neat and clean.Even the toilets in malls or anywhere are kept very tidy.

3)Well developed public transportation facilities.Bus services are frequent,so that less crowdy .You can even opt for nearby MRT stations as well.Taxis are also available frequently but a little costly.

4)It is a small island country,so that you can see almost all places within a short period of vacation.

5)This is a mutlicultural place,where all cultures and religions and beliefs are respected,secular in all its sense.Even in the case of languages as well,people here use Malay,Tamil English and Mandarin(These are all the official languages )


Still,i would like to invite your attention to certain things/facts to keep in my mind when you visit Singapore.

1)Singapore is one of the world's most expensive city,especially if you are an expatriate(booking tickets for visiting tourist attractions are costly).

2)The climate is so hot with high humidity and any time you can expect a rainfall as well,because there is no particular seasons in this country,almost same climate every time.

3)Here you can find people using singlish(Singapore English),in local flea markets (where you can taste all variety of foods and do shopping with less money)and streets like "lah"  (means "can").
